Alex Andreae

Alex co-founded SourceCoast Web Development in 2008. Based in sunny Florida, SourceCoast develops extensions for integrating your Joomla powered website with popular social networks. He has spoken at more than a dozen Joomla User Groups and Joomla Days, including the JWC 2012. Topics have included social networking for Joomla, running a business around Joomla extensions, and Joomla development.

Brent Laminack

Brent Laminack was born and raised in west Georgia, USA. He has been a Unix System Administrator and programmer since the early 1980s at both old, established firms in the Atlanta area and several startups. He was co-owner of one of the largest Joomla design houses in the Southeast before coming to OSTraining. Starting in 1990 he has taught continuing education classes at Georgia Tech, the University of Georgia and Emory University on a wide range of computer-related subjects.

Cal Evans

For the past 13 years Cal has worked with PHP and MySQL on Linux, OSX, and Windows. He has built a variety of projects ranging in size from simple web pages to multi-million dollar web applications. When not banging his head on his monitor, attempting a blood sacrifice to get a particular piece of code working, he enjoys building and managing development teams using his widely imitated but never patented management style of “management by wandering around”.

Chad Windangle

Chad Windnagle is the lead developer at Cohesive Websites, a high quality Joomla website development services company located in beach town New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Chad has been involved with the Joomla community and the website development world for the past 7 years. He holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration from the State University of Delhi, New York.

Cory Webb

Cory Webb's research and expertise using Joomla fuels his work with Sears. His tutorials, tips, and techniques for his first site, HowtoJoomla.net, has helped thousands navigate Joomla better, and numerous clients have reaped the reward of his hard work with newly built and hard-working Joomla websites. In 2009, his book, Beginning Joomla Website Development (Wrox), found its way onto national bookstore shelves as an easy-to-understand guide to building a website with Joomla.

David Hurley

David is a founding partner at WebSpark. A company built on making incredible business-oriented solutions. They have created the first and only true Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system built specifically for Joomla. They have also created project management (JForce) and live group chat (Banter) solutions. In addition to creating Joomla based components, under David's direction WebSpark has continued to innovate and create both cutting edge components as well as unique standalone web-based applications built on the Joomla Framework.

Deb Cinkus

Deb Cinkus is the CEO of Polished Geek, a Raleigh, NC based Joomla CMS web development company she co-founded in February 2009. Deb enjoys helping clients take broad, brushstroke concepts through requirements analysis and the solution design process. It’s a great satisfaction for her to help guide ideas that are barely a twinkle in a client’s eye, to become new or improved Joomla extensions and custom applications. In addition to the satisfaction she gets from creating custom Joomla solutions, Deb openly admits to having two other addictions: sushi and the color purple.

Douglas Knudsen

Douglas Knudsen is currently located in the Atlanta area and is a author, developer, and family man. Douglas has been involved in web based technology development for some fifteen years now. He enjoyed working with Adobe technologies such as Flex, Flash Platform, and ColdFusion as well as working with the surrounding technologies of databases, Java, AJAX, and the like. He is currently involved in wed development with HTML5/CSS3 working with Fortune 500 companies as well as startups.

Hugh Messenger

Hugh is an ex-pat Brit who has lived in Huntsville, Alabama for the last 20 years (don't ask).  My two main passions, outside of family, are music and computing. I'm currently a freelance PHP developer, mostly as co-author of Fabrik (an open source extension for Joomla), but have had a varied 30 year career in computing covering most aspects of the craft, from machine code device drivers to product marketing.  My focus has usually been on networking and communications.

Jason Weathersby

Jason Weathersby is a Technical Evangelist for Mozilla, evangelizing Firefox OS. He is also a committer on the BIRT project at the Eclipse Foundation, and has co-authored several books and written many articles on BIRT integration. He is a proponent of HTML5, the Open Web and Open Source and is a regular contributor to the Mozilla Hacks blog.  Jason has over 20 years experience in the software development field, ranging from real time process control to business intelligence software.

Jon Neubauer

Jon is a Joomla! developer and active Joomla! community member living between Charlotte, NC, and Köln, Germany. Jon has been working with Joomla! since 2008, working for a wide range of clients, and on projects ranging from small business solutions to government and corporate systems. In the Joomla! community, you’ll find Jon helping organize Joomla! events including the Joomla! World Conference, and JoomlaDay North Carolina, as well as devoting much of his time to advocating for Joomla! in the classroom, and working with universities and educational institutions around the world in using Joomla! as a classroom and educational tool.

Michael Babker

Michael is an active member of the Joomla! community, participating in the Bug Squad, contributing code to the CMS and Framework, and is currently a member of the Production Leadership Team. His contributions to the community have been recognized with the 2012 J!OSCAR "GitHub Junkie" Award.  His high standards for code and focus on automated testing have raised the overall quality of Joomla's code and helps ensure a stable and quality product for every Joomla user.

Moses Ngone

Moses is a local dev here in Atlanta. He is currently working as a project manager at Epiclabs, building cool stuff at Ninelabs. After many years working for the likes of Cengage and Sharecare, he took the leap and is now a regular at Strongbox.

Nic Rosental

Nic Rosental is the founder of Epic Labs and an active member of the Atlanta web community. He’s mainly a web developer but enjoys exploring and working on everything from UX and design to dev ops.

Rod Martin

Rod is the Director of Training at OSTraining. Rod holds two masters degrees and has been training people how to do "things" for over 25 years. Originally from Australia, he grew up in Canada and now resides just outside Cincinnati, Ohio. He has worked in both the non-profit and for-profit worlds, in small companies and large corporations. Rod's extensive open source experience includes WordPress, Joomla, Drupal and Moodle and he really knows how to help you get the most out of the system you chose. Rod plays ice hockey a couple of times a week and rides his Goldwing motorbike pretty much everywhere he can.

She also serves on the executive board of the Greater Atlanta Chapter of ASTD as president elect.

Steven Johnson

Steven manages day-to-day operations at Intown Web Design, overseeing the development of multiple websites both client and personal. His background is in IT and network administration where he gained valuable technical skills with computers and management. Intown Web Design was founded by Steven in 2007 as his main hub for website design, SEO and CMS development. He curates dozens of websites that maintain top rank in the best search engines.

Tony Perez

Tony is a Marine Corps veteran with over 13 years of experience working in the technology industry, with 4 years of specialized training and experience in website security. He is one of the co-founders and Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Sucuri Inc, a Multi-National Company (MNC) with a global footprint specializing in the detection, remediation and protection of websites and malware. His remediation teams handle thousands of websites each week, hundreds each day and he maintains a 24 /7 operation 365 days each year. His specific expertise is around forensic analysis and end-user awareness. When he's not dabbling in the underbelly of the web he can be found in the gym or on the mat training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ).

Vic Drover

Victor is the Founder and CEO of Anything Digital, a well-known Joomla development shop based in Sussex, Wisconsin. His portfolio boasts some of the most popular add-ons for Joomla including the SEO tool sh404SEF and the calendaring app JCal Pro. In 2012, Victor co-founded Watchful.li, a backup, update, and security monitoring service for the remote management of Joomla websites.
